什么是产前诊断？产前诊断又叫出生前诊断，就是运用一些特殊的检查方法判断胎儿发育是否正常，是否患有家族遗传性疾病，或者先天性不可治疾病，以杜绝有缺陷儿出生，从而保证后代健康。

那么，有哪些情况需要做产前诊断呢?
(1)近亲婚配。
(2)有遗传病家族史。
(3)有不良生育史。如曾经分娩过染色体异常、无脑儿、先天性畸形儿或不明原因的多次流产、早产及死胎等。
(4)高龄孕妇。即实足年龄在35岁以上的孕妇，这些孕妇怀孕后胎儿发生染色体异常(先天愚型儿)的机率会比其他妇女大几倍，并随着年龄的增长而直线上升。如40岁以上的孕妇出生先天愚型儿的机率可达6%。
(5)怀孕早期有明显的致畸因素接触史，如射线、病毒、化学因素及不良药物等。
(6)夫妇一方或双方有染色体异常者，或者家庭中有性连锁疾病史(如血友病、假肥大性肌营养不良、红绿色盲等)的人群。
(7)多次自然流产史者。
(8)孕早期有特殊药物或特殊病毒、放射性物质等有毒有害物接触史者。

(6) The couple, one side or both sides have chromosomal abnormalities, or family history of sexual interlocking disease (such as hemophilia, pseudohypertrophic muscular dystrophy, daltonism) etc. (7) Multiple spontaneous abortions history. (8) Early pregnancy with contact history of special drugs or special viruses, radioactive substances such as toxic and harmful substances.
随着科学技术的发展，很多遗传病大都可在怀孕早期获得诊断，对于诊断中鉴别出的缺陷胎儿，目前唯一的有效措施是采取选择性流产，以终止妊娠。值得注意的是，随着医疗新设备的普及，在实际生活中，产前诊断的范围已明显扩大了，一些年轻孕妇往往多次接受产前诊断。更有甚者，把B型超声波检查作为孕期保健的经常性措施，其实，这是完全不必要的，甚至会带来一些不良的影响，希望能引起广大孕妇及家人的充分注意。
